The receiver and lock plates have tight floral scroll border engraving around the outside edges. "H. SCHERPING" is gold inlaid on the left lock plate in a banner surrounded by floral scroll engraving and the right lock plate has "HANNOVER" inlaid in gold on a banner surrounded by floral scroll. There is a beaded blade front sight and a flip up rear sight on the solid rib with bases for a claw scope mount. There are double gold bands around the breech end of the barrel. The shotgun barrels are choked skeet II/full and have 2 inch chambers with an extractor. The rifle chambering appears to be 9.3x72R. Mounted on a select walnut forearm with multi-point checkering and a Prince of Wales style buttstock with raised cheekpiece, cartridge trap and a serrated horn buttplate. Length of pull is 14 inches.
