The Knick model trap gun was originally introduced in 1922. It features a high visibility front sight and ivory bead mid-sight on a matte vent rib, 2 3/4" chamber, choke gauges at full with an ejector. The barrel is marked with the serial number along with "K3997" on the jeweled flat. The receiver is casehardened and features broad scroll engraving with rosettes and matte background, a gold inlaid pheasant scene on the left side and a gold inlaid woodcock scene on the right side. The lower rear sides of the barrel have a broad floral scroll engraved pattern. The bottom of the receiver is marked "MADE IN U.S.A. / ITHACA GUN Co / ITHACA, N.Y.". Multi-point checkered forearm with a pistol grip stock featuring checkered flats, Fleur-de-lis checkered grip area, vented recoil pad, grip cap, and initial oval. LOP 14 1/2".

Condition: Very fine as partially refinished. The barrel retains 98% factory quality refinished blue finish with some minor muzzle wear and some loss due to the forearm, with some light scratches. The trigger guard has a smooth gray patina overall. The frame retains 90% original case colors with some fading to gray. The wood is very fine as revarnished with most of the varnish remaining which is just beginning to craze on the buttstock and a few minor handling marks. Overall the checkering is crisp.
