Manufactured between 1949 and 1968. Single ivory bead sight on the matte vent rib, choked skeet and chambered for 2 3/4 inch or shorter shells. Standard barrel and receiver markings, with floral scroll engraving on the receiver. The receiver is also nicely engraved with a lake scene on the left side with two silver inlay hunting dogs scaring up four silver inlay ducks and an inlay silver hunting dog scaring up two silver inlay pheasants in a field scene on the right side. The trigger guard also is engraved with a floral scroll design, which was left in the white. Mounted with a walnut forearm which has a diamond pattern checkering and is carved with a leafy vine design and has a diamond shaped piece of ivory inset on each side. The stock has the same leafy vine carving and checkering on the wrist, as well as a finely detailed hunting dog in a grassy field and mountain scene carved on each side of the stock. The consignor states that the stock work was done in Japan and the left side of the stock below the carved scene has a Japanese character in a circle which he believes may be the signature of the artist. The grip cap is ivory with a relief carved duck and it is fitted with a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Complete with the original manual and hanging tag.

Condition: Very good as partially assembled, (replacement barrel) and professionally custom embellished, the wood, with 95% blue finish remaining, showing flaking and thinning on the barrel. All of the silver inlay remains. The wood is very good plus with a couple minor age cracks on the left side of the forearm, a few light handling marks overall and crisp checkering. The engraving remains sharp. Mechanically excellent.
