Engraved Parker BH Grade Double Barrel Live Bird Hammerless Shotgun
Perhaps the best known of all American shotgun manufacturers. Established by Charles Parker shortly after the Civil War, this company has produced a wide variety of shotguns in a number of different styles over the years. Only 1% of Parkers were "Live Bird" guns as they are manufactured without a safety. Features include double bead sights on the matte rib marked "PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN CONN. TITANIC STEEL.", 2 3/4 inch chambers and extractors. The action is scroll engraved with hunting dogs on each side in field scenes and a stag in a field scene on the bottom of the action. Both sides of the action are also marked "PARKER BROS." in a banner. Double triggers, fancy checkered beavertail forearm, and straight grip stock with a brass initial plate and solid Old English recoil pad.

Very good as period refinished with most of the blue finish remaining with some covered scattered light to moderate pin prick pitting on the barrel and some minor scratches overall. There is thinning finish on the lower tang. The stock is fine as reoiled with some minor nicks and scratches. The markings and engraving are clear. Mechanically excellent.
