Manufactured in 1864. Custom floral scroll engraved receiver with punch dot background and double scallop border. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line 1860 patent date/New Haven Arms Co. address and the serial number on the top flat at the breech. The metal surfaces were blue and the rifle is mounted with a smooth straight grip walnut stock with a brass creasent buttplate and a sling swivel on the left side. The swivel is absent from the barrel and the rear sight has been moved forward 2 1/2". Functions well.

Good with a dark patina on the barrel as well as a few minor dents and dings. The receiver has a dark natural aged patina. The stock is good as freshened with a small area on the left wrist that has been sanded and overall there are a few minor dents and dings. The engraving is crisp. The action is fine.
