This is an excellent example of a factory engraved Heym Safari double rifle. The barrels, trigger guard and break lever are blue and the action is polished coin. The receiver, break lever and trigger guard are engraved with fine floral scroll designs. The breech end of the barrels and sides of the flats have a thin gold wire inlay. The Heym logo is marked on the bottom of the receiver. The front sight is a blade with a brass bead on a raised ramp. The rear sight is mounted on the matte half rib and has one stationary leaf and three folding leafs marked "50", "100" and "150". The Heym logo is also marked on top of the rib. There is a sling swivel eye mounted on the underside of the barrels. Matching serial number is marked on the barrel flat, water table and forearm latch assembly. Double triggers, Greener cross bolt style box lock action, cocking indicators and tang mounted manual safety. The rifle is mounted with extra fancy, nicely grained, skip line checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with a metal grip cap, cheekpiece, Pachmayr Old English recoil pad and sling swivel stud. The rifle is complete with 4 boxes, (20 count), of Federal Premium Safari 470 Nitro Express cartridges.
