The included factory letter states that the shotgun was shipped from Colt on October 12, 1881, to E.K. Tyron & Co. of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and confirms the serial number, original barrel length, finish, and gauge. Features 2 3/4" chambers, 13 1/4" LOP, and "CHIRICAHUA CATTLE Co" stamped on the right side of the buttstock. A letter from noted Colt historian and author John Kopec, bill of sale and letter from historian and collector Stephen Elliott, and a copy of the book "We'll All Wear Silk Hats: The Erie and Chiricahua Cattle Companies and the Rise of Corporate Ranching in the Sulphur Spring Valley of Arizona, 1883-1909" are included.
