The left rear flat is marked "8,15x46 Norm" (the barrel does gauge at about 8mm). The action and lever were casehardened and feature floral vine engraving with a round panel on each side of a man in Bavarian style clothing and hat. There is a diamond and dot design on the top of the receiver and it is marked "ORIGINAL / SYST. TANNER". The upper left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number. Tilting block style action, tang mounted peep sight replacement front sight, hinged trigger assembly, double set triggers and mounted with a walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a large cheekpiece, right side thumb rest and Swiss style iron buttplate.

Condition: Very good. The barrel retains 80% blue refinish thinning to a plum, with a few minor dings, and wrench marks near the breech. The action and lever have a smooth gray patina (darker at the rear of the lever), and the buttplate has a smooth dark patina. The wood is good with overall scattered minor dents and scratches, and a hole on the belly where a sling swivel has been removed, and chipped thumb-rest. The engraving is crisp. Mechanically excellent.
