Engraved German Drilling
Unmarked solid matte rib with a blade beaded front sight, a folding leaf rear sight and claw mounts. Equipped with a Hensoldt 4x scope. Two 16 gauge shotgun barrels (2 3/4" chambers, choked full/full, extractor) with a 7.8 mm rifle barrel. All three barrels proofed and marked ""KRUPP-LAFSTAHL". Casehardened scalloped box lock action feature engraved game scenes on both sides, scrollwork on the underside and deep relief leaf pattern on the fences. Double trigger, side mounted safety and tang mounted selector. A drilled thread hole is present on the trigger guard (reason unknown). Plain forearm and pistol grip stock with grip cap, sling swivels, raised cheekpiece, serrated horn buttplate, and marsh scene engraved cartridge box.

Condition: Refinished. The barrels retain 60% of the blue finish with areas of smooth gray patina with some minor pitting. The action has aged to a smooth gray with traces of case colors in the protected areas. The trigger guard has been polished. The sanded and re-varnished wood is fine with some scattered minor handling marks and a chip on the toe. The scope is excellent on the exterior and the optics are slightly hazy.
