Engraved German Box lock Double Rifle with Scope
This double rifle features a matte solid rib with raised front sight, two leaf rear sight (one folding) and claw mount bases installed at the breech end. The rear of the rib is marked "TER, (first part absent due to scope base installation) K&L HOFBUCHSENMACHER, BERLIN". The barrels gauge at 9.3mm and are equipped with an extractor, Weaver K2.5 60B scope and sling swivel mounted on the underside. Blue barrels and trigger guard, and casehardened scalloped action and break lever. The action is engraved with fine floral scroll patterns. Tang mounted safety, double triggers and mounted with a checkered walnut splinter forearm with ebony forend insert and round knob pistol grip stock with cheek piece, checkered horn buttplate, ammo compartment on top and a silver initial oval. Complete with a leather sling.

Condition: Very fine. The barrels retain 98% original blue finish with some wear on the muzzles. The trigger guard has a smooth gray patina. The action retains 50% original bright case colors with the balance having a smooth silver gray patina. The stock has been lightly sanded and refinished. There is a repaired area on the left side at the front of the comb. There are a few minor dings, dents and bruises, overall and crisp checkering. The scope is excellent with clear optics. Mechanically excellent.
