This lot features a engraved folbert single shot target pistol, Belgium made between 1870s to late 1880s. A gallery gun, Flobert gun, saloon gun, or parlor gun is a type of firearm designed for indoor shooting. These guns were first developed in 1845 when French inventor, Louis Nicolas Flobert, modified a percussion cap to hold a small lead bullet. These modified guns soon become precision target pistols. This pistol has Belgium markers marks and date to the 1870s or 1880s. The gun displays stunning engraving. Fires a 22 Cal. Bullet, serial number 3755. It is in good condition for its age.
