Engraved Ferlach Guild Over/Under Shotgun
Made in 1959 by Ludwig Horovnick of Ferlach for Flaig's. There are 13 companies making guns in the city of Ferlach which is located in a remote corner of southern Austria. The Ferlach area companies make guns that are among the world's most beautiful and finest. These companies are family groupings, many have been making guns for centuries. It features a single brass bead sight on the matted vent rib marked "MADE IN AUSTRIA", Boehler Antinit steel barrels, 3 inch chambers and modified and improved modified chokes and auto ejectors. The sides of the coin finished scalloped action are engraved with field scenes of game birds, the top and bottom of the action are scroll engraved, the trigger guard is engraved with a cabin and "FLAIG'S" over it. Kersten cross bolt, double selective triggers and tang safety. Three piece checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a cheek piece, horn grip cap and checkered horn buttplate. 14 inch pull, 1-1/4 inch drop at the comb and 2-1/2 inch at the heel.

Condition: Professionally refurbished with virtually all of the finish remaining showing a very minor scuff on the upper barrel and light overall handling marks. The wood is excellent as refinished with a couple of very minor nicks and some crazing of the varnish.
