Manufactured in 1937 and features dual bead sights on a concave matte solid rib. The barrels have 3" chambers, choked marked modified/modified with ejectors. The action, trigger guard, break lever, and forearm hardware are custom scroll engraved with a game bird scene in an oval panel on each side of the action at the rear, a round panel on the bottom with a hunting dog and a game bird in his mouth and hunting dog on the trigger guard. (This is very similar to one of the medium patterns of Winchester Factory Engraving). The barrels are unmarked and feature a small wedge of floral scroll engraving on each side and "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL" and "MOD" markings under the forearm. The water table is marked with the patent dates on the right side and the three line "MADE IN U.S.A.", model and address marking on the left. The Winchester oval proof is marked on the bottom of each barrel flat. Each side of the upper trigger are marked "JURJEVIC". Tang mounted manual safety and mounted with oiled fancy grain walnut forearm and straight grip stock with Fluer de Lis checkering, (including the flats), checkered bare butt with custom skeletonized buttplate and silver initial oval. Length of pull is 14 1/8". Complete with a leather bound hard case with leather corner protectors and straps, and red felt lining with a leather Winchester label affixed to the inside of the lid. The accompanying Cody letter verifies the serial number ("B" at the end), that it was started on 7-17-37, completion 7-21-37 for Kirkwood Brothers Inc., trap grade, stock configuration, finish (wood), chokes and barrel length. At the time of manufacture the shotgun was listed as having double triggers and a pull of 14 3/8".

Condition: Very fine as custom embellished. The shotgun retains 95% factory quality finish with some very minor wear on the muzzles and some wear on the outer edges of the breech ends and recoil shields. There is a small area of light spotting on the right barrel near the muzzle. The attaching hardware on the forearm has a smooth gray patina. The custom checkered wood is near mint with a few overall scattered minor scuffs and dings with sharp checkering. The engraving is crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with some moderate corner wear.
