Manufactured in 1976 to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the United States, this is number 636 of only 1,000 produced. Features fixed blade front and adjustable rear sights. The coin finished receiver is moderately floral border scroll engraved featuring an American Bald Eagle on the left side and an American Bison on the right side, signed by engraver J.M. Boulanger. The barrel has floral scroll engraving at the breech and muzzle ends. Deluxe checkered walnut straight grip stock with a Schnabel tipped deluxe checkered walnut forestock. Crescent shaped buttplate with floral scroll engraving along the top edge. Accompanied with a factory letter confirming the serial number, caliber and sale date of November 29, 1976 to Clark Bros Co, Route 2, Warrenton, VA 22186. The letter also indicates that the rifle was sold with a commemorative knife, medallion and custom case. Those items are not in possession and are not part of this lot.
