English transition revolver pepperbox in its original case with accessories showing British proofs but no maker’s name. The revolver measure 13” overall with 6” octagon barrel of approximately .50 caliber with six(6) shot cylinder. The double action works well and shows a bar type hammer with no prevision for cocking and single action. The grips are nicely checkered and in good condition. The barrel shows 20%-40% bluedrifting to brown, the frame shows some case hardening with a natural patina with some light pitting and erosion. The case is lined in green felt in the partition style and remains in good to very good condition, showing some minor normal age and slight wear. Flask is missing, correct size mold, cap tins, oiler, screw driver, combination tool are included. The exterior of the case is veneered mahogany in good condition with a replacement latch where lock was located. An unusual “dragoon size” for this type transition revolver. From an old N.Y. Collector’s Estate. Est.; $1,400-$2,800
