Some enterprising soul will take these glorious English Sterling silver pieces and add new handles! The workmanship on the silver is indicative of the quality expected from the firm of Walker and Hall. The ferrules where the sterling meets the celluloid (or French Ivory) are beautiful. The handles have turned a golden yellow colour, caused by immersion into hot water. Each piece also has a slit in the handle caused by a change in climate from English umidity to Colorado dryness. Totally usable as they are of course and without the slits they would be over $200.
