English Queen Anne style flintlock pistol circa early to mid-18th century with fancy silver mounts and silver wire inlay marked “Stanton, London”. The pistol measures 13” overall with approximately 7” cannon barrel of .62 caliber smooth bore. Themetal surfaces are good with an even brown patina, good edges and good markings. The lock shows original hammer, frizzen and small parts. The stock is in good condition with most of its original silver wire along with fairly crisp shell carving around the tang with just some oil staining and normal aging. The butt cap is a bit more fancy than normal with long silver spurs and a floral design rather than just the normal grotesque mask. Est.: $2500-$5000
