Shotgun. Percussion. Both locks marked "W. Richards". Barrel rib Stamped " London Fie Twist". W. Richards was a trade name used on shotguns made by Henri Pieper of Liege, Belgium, and imported by large sporting goods distributors in the period of 1860-1898. His company lasted until 1950. 31.5" barrels, with 2 porcelain sighting beads. Exposed hammers, Straight hardwood stock, with checkering on the wrist. Steel butt plate. Original wood, brass tipped ramrod in place. Two-cock hammers lock up tight. Double triggers. Bores appear ok, but dark, dirty. Wood is very good, with scratches/dings. Nothing serious. Blued finish has turned mostly a plum colored patina. There is pitting around the nipples. Really a nice conditioned antique shotgun for is age. NRA Condition-Very Good. Antique firearm.
