English Noyes Marked Brass Cannon Barrel Flintlock Blunderbuss with Snap Bayonet
The top barrel flat is marked "WARMINSTER" and the lock is marked "NOYES" ahead of the hammer. The muzzle of the brass barrel measures 1 1/4" on the inside. An 11" bayonet is affixed to the muzzle end of the barrel and is secures in a spring loaded sliding retainer mounted on the iron breech plug. Brass trigger guard with floral engraving, long tang and acorn finial. Mahogany ramrod with brass tip and pipes and mounted with a full one piece checkered straight grip stock with a brass buttplate.

Condition: Very good. The brass has an untouched greenish aged patina. The metal surfaces have a dark patina with some light oxidation. The thumb piece for the snap bayonet retainer is broken off. The catch for the bayonet has broken off and is logged in the base of the bayonet. There is a small crack in the otherwise solid hammer. The stock is good with a repaired crack on the left front extending out from the pin slot. Otherwise there are scattered dents, dings and scratches associated with a gun of this age, and the checkering is crisp. The action is very good.
