19th Century English silverplate over brass,footed double inkwell set depicts a deer standing on a bed of grass surrounded by flowers. The stand has a bead and garland design with drops displayed on the eight sides.Top has caladiums on two sides with spruce and garland on the other. Two strong arm pen supports,one with tiny showing of brass at base. Two crystal multi-sided removable inkwells are elongated on the bottom to sit securely in the dropped wells. One silver plated collar above the crystal has slight discoloration. Excellent condition other than areas mentioned. English hallmarks on the bottom with the number "P2240". Measures 7L X 4H X 5D.
