Estimate: $2000 - 3000
Natural metal finish with walnut one-piece grip. Marked on the right side of the frame "D,EGG/LONDON" bordered by engraved flag and flower decoration. (Egg was a noted high quality maker of the day.) The barrels are numbered 4 to 7 with the corresponding number on the frame. The bottom of the frame has hallmark proofs consisting of "crown/GP" and "crown/V". The right side of the frame has engraved flag and drum decoration and the frame is border line engraved as well. There is an unmarked silver shield inlaid set into the back of the grip. The pistol has a single hammer and frizzen, with a unique system (top action) of blocking off the different barrels for firing using a lever on the left side of the frame and a sliding block located on the right side of the frame. There is a safety lever on the top of the frame which blocks the hammer and locks the frizzen in place via a small hole at the bottom. The .41 caliber is an approximation.
