English 1796 pattern sword and metal scabbard, approx. 37” overall with a 32” blade, left side of guard is marked “A.M. XVII 2.40”; blade is overall good, mountings are fair; the scabbard is un-cleaned and good overall; marked on left side at throat “9. T. E. F. 5.21.” and “892 R1” on the left side of the top hanging ring support. An early English sword and scabbard that may be researchable as to branch of service. Est.: $350-$700.
