#152 Queen's South Africa Type 3 Medal and 3 bars (South Africa 1902, Transvaal, Cape Colony) named 575 CPL. A.D. Blanchard Canadian M.R. in EF, A Victoria Cypher Pouch badge 51 x 50 mm. w/wire attachments, An orignal document (13-1/4 x 8-1/4 inch) from Miltia Head Quarters dated Jan. 7, 1905 confirming the reciept of Cpl. Blanchard's letter requesting the medal due to him., a very rare duplicate of a certificate of discharge (7-1/2 x 9 inch) dated 1902, embossed with " Volunteer Bounty, Land Warrant Issued." seal, and signed by Lt. Col. Evans. for Cpl. Blanchard to request his medal. The document was originally fold twice and since folded several times but in surprisingly good condition. Also included is a document (8-1/4 x 13-1/4 inch) attesting to the conformatiom and issue of the Queen's South Africa Medal and Bars., dated 14th January 1905 and sent to his Kentville, Nova Scotia address. A rare glimpse into the working of the times. Should be viewed.
