WWII Era English military top-break double-action-only revolver chambered in .38 Smith & Wesson, dated 1941. Imported by C.A.I. of St. Albans, V.T. with import stamp on the underside of the barrel. Features a blued finish, 5" barrel, patridge front sight, square notched rear sight on the barrel catch, fluted six-shot cylinder, automatic extractor, smooth trigger, bobbed hammer, square butt frame with lanyard ring and two-piece grooved hard rubber grips with thumb rests. The serial numbers on the frame, barrel and cylinder are matching though the an attemp has been made to deface the numbers on the frame & barrel. Markings: Frame - a superimposed "ED," & "I*" Barrel - "CAL..38.," "41," & military proofs. The revolver exhibits approximately 30% finish intact with the majority of the metal surfaces bearing a dark grey patina showing scattered pin prick pitting and light surface rust on the barrel towards the muzzle. Action is smooth with very good lock-up, bore is very good, markings are good and the hard rubber grips are very good. Condition is NRA Good. ***C&R Firearm*** From The John F Sukey Collection
