Enfield Brunswick Percussion Rifle, NVSN, .75 cal., Pattern 1837 33'' bright barrel, walnut stock, brass buttplate, triggerguard and forend cap; sliding sight marked ''200-1000'', with cleaning rod. The Brunswick rifle was interesting in that it had a large bore cut with two wide spiraling grooves. The grooves engaged a specially cast ball having a raised belt that surrounded it. At least 2000 were exported to the Southern Confederacy during the American Civil War. Condition is good to very good with moderate overall corrosion and discoloration to metal surfaces. Stock shows light to just moderate general scuffs and knackering. ''WD'' cartouche is clear to left cheek area. Good functioning action and good bore. Est.: $1,000-$1,500. (Antique)
