The kit was designed according to the specific requirements of Emperor Franz Joseph I. and is listed under No 139 in the "Teilinventar über das Allodvermögen weiland Seiner Majestät des Kaisers und Königs Franz Jospeh I. gehörige Mobiliarvermögen in der k. k. Hofburg" (estate inventory, copy attached). The kit was part of the inheritance of the emperor's daughter, Archduchess Marie.
