Elvis Presley's personally-owned red short-sleeve red polo shirt, size L, made by Sportsman of California. The shirt features a single pearlescent black button at the neck and has one small breast pocket on the left side. In fine condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Chris Davidson of the EP Archives, in part: "This red short sleeve shirt once belonged to Elvis Presley and was obtained from Hobart and Bonnie Burnette in 1999. During the early 60s, Vernon purchased a home at 1266 Dolan Dr. which is adjacent to Graceland along the southeastern wall. Elvis had a gate installed so that he could walk from his backyard directly into his father's house. After Elvis' divorce in 1973, Elvis spent more time over there to occasionally escape Graceland and its inhabitants…After Elvis' death, Vernon moved into Graceland and sold the Dolan home and all of its contents to Hobart and Bonnie Burnette who owned the Hickory Log Restaurant across the street from Graceland. The Burnettes delivered food up to the house for the Memphis Mafia and on occasion Elvis and/or Vernon. I purchased many personal items of Elvis' and Vernon's from the Burnettes in the summer of 1999…This red shirt with Sportsman's clothing label was on display at the world famous Elvis-A-Rama Museum." Includes a second letter of authenticity, transmitting ownership of this red shirt back to Davidson, after he had previously sold it.
