Elvis Presley's Partially Filled Out Check Dated Sept. 27, 1969 W/Letter of Authenticity From Graceland & EP Archives - This is a check drawn from the National Bank of Commerce that Elvis Presley wrote out on September 27, 1969 just after returning from The Memphian where he saw a screening of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. He returned to The Memphian the following day to screen Midnight Cowboy before flying to Dallas on the 1st of October. The check has been dated Sept. 27, 1969 in blue ink with the amount of 300.00, however only the start of a name has been written near "Pay to the Order of". It is suggested that Elvis may have been making the check out to The Memphian for that night on the town, as the beginnings of a "Th" on the check might indicate, or simply paying a bill as the amount could suggest. The check will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated, along with a letter from the EP Archives. The check measures 3" x 8.5".
