Elvis Presley's "Nunchaku, Karate Weapon of Self-Defense" Book Used for Research Obtained From Ed Parker W/(2) Letters of Authenticity - This book was used by Elvis Presley while researching for his (previously unfinished/unreleased) karate movie "New Gladiators". The book is a soft cover titled "Nunchaku Karate Weapon of Self-Defense" written by Fumio Demura. According to the letter of authenticity, the book belonged to Ed Parker and was given to Wade Jones through a family friend who was dating Parker in the early-mid 1970s. was an American martial artist, Senior Grandmaster and founder of American Kenpo Karate, who trained many celebrities including Elvis Presley. He served as one of Elvis Presley's bodyguard during the singer's final years, and worked with Elvis to develop the documentary film "New Gladiators". The movie was financed by Elvis and filmed between 1973 and 1974, but was not remastered or released until 2002, as the film was lost in 1977 after Elvis' untimely death. This is an iconic piece of memorabilia from the life of one of history's most well known entertainers. The book will be accompanied by two letters of authenticity, one from original recipient Wade Jones and one from Stephen Shutts, a well known collector who had a CMT reality TV series based on his life collection Rock N' Roll memorabilia.
