Elvis Presley Signed 1957 Dollar
A 1957 One-Dollar US bill signed by Elvis Presley, given to his good friend Bill Yates. Yates, an early Sun Records artist, recorded hits at Sun including, “Don’t Step on My Dog,” a reworking and “reply song” to Rufus Thomas’s funky “Walkin The Dog”, and “You Better Stop, Wait and Listen”. Yates was Presley’s first pianist and backed Presley and Patsy Cline among others during his career. His Memphis work with Presley led to work in Presley’s entourage as his bodyguard, starting in 1961. Presley signed this bill for Yates in 1957, soon after he'd shot to meteoric fame the year before at age 21, including acclaimed performances on the Ed Sullivan Show. This bill remained in Yates’s collection for many decades.

This incredible collection comes from Elvis Aaron Presley Jr., who was very close friends with Colonel Parker (Elvis Presley's longtime manager) for decades. He gifted many of these items to Elvis Aaron Presley Jr. These items have been maintained in Junior's collection for decades and now is the first opportunity for the general public and collectors to own his cherished collection.

Elvis Aaron Presley Jr. was managed by four of Elvis Presley Senior's managers, and was the biggest headliner in Las Vegas, earning over $25,000 per show.
