Three items: a special edition of the Memphis Press-Scimitar from August 17, 1977, twelve pages, with the headline, "A Lonely Life Ends on Elvis Presley Boulevard," signed in black felt tip by the icon's ex-wife, "A day of shock and sadness, Priscilla Presley"; an issue of the Memphis Commercial Appeal from August 17, 1977, twelve pages, with the headline, "Death Captures Crown Of Rock And Roll—Elvis Dies Apparently After Heart Attack," signed in black felt tip, "Priscilla Presley"; and an ANS on a 5 x 3 card, signed "Priscilla Presley," in full: "Thank you for gifting me the book Letters of the Century. It's a fascinating read. Nice to see Elvis included." In overall fine condition, with central vertical folds and expected toning to newspapers. These items originate from the collection of actor Johnny Weissmuller's son-in-law, who notes that "these are the only two papers she personally signed on the death of Elvis."
