Triangular guitar pick attested to as being given to a fan by Elvis Presley at the latter’s concert at the Dallas Memorial Auditorium in Dallas, Texas, on November 13, 1971. The off-white 1.5 x 1.25 guitar pick features a lone upper case “E” to one side. This style pick, also known as the pyramid or ‘Dorito-shaped’ pick, was used by Presley from 1969 through approximately 1974. The pick is framed with a ticket stub from the concert, the original ticket envelope, a vintage advertisement for the Dallas show, and an original concert photograph, to an overall size of 15.25 x 12.25. In fine condition.

The earlier guitar picks from the 1950s do not have Presley’s initials or his name on them. However, when he returned to the concert stage in 1969, he started having his initials placed on his guitar picks. There are three different styles from 1969-1977: the pyramid pick, which is the rarest; the semi-oval pick, which was used from approximately 1974-1976; and the tortoise-shell pick, used approximately from 1974 to June 1977.
