Elvira Bach, Mixed Media, Female Nude with Accessories, 1981
The present female nude is the work of the German artist Elvira Bach and dates from 1981. As to the theme, the arrangement and the coloring, the neo-expressionist composition is a typical work of the artist. In her artworks, Elvira Bach frequently reflects thoughts of her own life. In the present work, executed in gouache over an offset lithograph, the female figure is surrounded by various household items. The artist possibly deals here with her own domestic private life, which is a recurring subject in her work of the early 1980s.

The sheet is signed and dated lower left, ‘Elvira Bach 81’. It is mounted on cardboard at some points and presented in a white wooden frame. The sheet is in a good condition. The paper is slightly warped due to the mounting, and the wooden frame shows light wear marks. The overall dimensions, framed, are 56 x 44 cm. The size of the sheet is 41.5 x 29.5 cm.
