DeWitt attributes this finely executed medal to the election of 1836. The dies were made by Benjamin True of Albany. No matter when it was made, it is certainly a handsome medal which proclaims "Equal & Full Protection to American Industry." Sullivan-DeWitt HC-1836-1 in white metal. The condition is outstanding with proof-like surfaces on the reverse.
