Elton John & John Lennon Signed One Dollar
Elton John & John Lennon Signed One Dollar Bill. Possibly the only dual signed relic from the eve of their historic concert performance at Madison Square Garden on Thanksgiving night, November 28th,1974, presented here is a one dollar bill signed by both Elton John and John Lennon in blue ballpoint pen. Obtained in person at a post concert celebration, accompanying this piece is a letter of authenticity from the restaurant bartender who acquired the signatures that fateful night, reading in part, "This signed bill was obtained by me while working as bartender in a very hot and exclusive restaurant on East 58th Street in New York City called KATJA... After one of the concerts a group of about 12 people including Elton John and John Lennon arrived for a late dinner. While their table was being prepared they waited at the bar and had a drink. I made them all drinks and someone other than Lennon and John paid for the fairly large tab. He then left me a one dollar tip which I was disappointed in. I asked him if he would have John Lennon and Elton John sign it for me. They both did and John Lennon handed it back to me." Tastefully matted and framed with an image of John and Lennon from the concert to an overall size of 16 x 20.5. This was John Lenonn's last concert appearance! Awesome! On some occasions eBay Live bid software or the Internet may not be able to keep up with the pace of the auction. We recommend placing a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Occasionally the auctioneer may eliminate or reject an eBay Live bid, and the auctioneer may also reopen a lot after the close of the eBay live bidding (usually because we missed an audience bid), and may reject your bid even if it shows you as the winning bidder. By bidding via eBay Live, you agree that Heritage may award the lot to another bidder at its sole discretion under the circumstances described above or any other reasonable circumstances. Since eBay bids are not shown to us until we open the lot on the floor, we treat those bids just like floor bids. In most cases the floor responds before the eBay bid is presented to us, due to Internet lag time, so for consistency we have made it a policy that floor bids are always considered first over tie eBay live bids. Also please note that all Heritage lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions before you bid.
