<B>Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" RIAA Gold Single Award.</B></I> Co-written by Elton John and Bernie Taupin, "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" was released in 1973 as the second single off of the album of the same name, and quickly entered the Top Ten in both the U.K and the U.S. Since then, it has often been cited as John's best song. This white-matte style RIAA Gold Single Award was presented to John to commemorate the sale of more than one million copies of the single.
