Actress (1902–1986) most famous for her role as The Bride of Frankenstein. Vintage pearl-finish 8 x 10 double weight Clarence Sinclair Bull MGM publicity photo, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, Elsa Lanchester.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of January 5, 1939, the date the signature was acquired. Promotional caption affixed to reverse reads, in part: “Elsa Lanchester…is now under contract with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios to make one picture, title of which, is still indefinite.” In fine condition, with a few scattered light surface marks and a light ripple from caption affixed to reverse.
