This lot provides you the opportunity to bid on an original Elmer Sprunger painting. The subject matter of the painting includes two hungry little chipmunks scavenging for food. The painting is an oil on canvas medium and displays fantastic texture and vibrant colors, as well as an ornate, hand carved frame. The piece is signed on the bottom left hand corner "Sprunger" and is numbered on the back #979. Elmer Sprunger paintings have been featured in Hockaday Museum of Art, Meadowlark Gallery, and public buildings and private homes. Elmer was a freelance wildlife painter from the 1970's to 2007 when he passed away, this painting was completed between those dates. All in all, the painting is in very good condition, with the oil paints staying true to color, and little fading to the canvas. The 9 1/2" x 7 1/2" painting is housed in a frame that measures 18" x 16".
