<B>Harlan Ellison. </B></I><B><I>A Boy and His Dog</B></I></B></I><B> Archive with Multiple Signatures.</B></I> Compiled by the author himself, this amazing archive contains nine important items related to Ellison's Nebula-winning tale <I>A Boy and His Dog</B></I>, including a 74-page photocopy of the original 18,000 word manuscript. <BR><BR>The story idea came from a newspaper article that Ellison read about drug-sniffing dogs, eventually becoming an award-winning tale of friendship and love in a violent, post-apocalyptic world. Offered here is a photocopy of the original newspaper article with Ellison's handwritten notations and signature; the 74-page, 18,000-word manuscript bearing Ellison's handwritten corrections, also signed; a 15,000-word, 13-page photocopy of the original <I>New Worlds</B></I> first publication of the story, signed; a 25-page photocopy of the preferred text, signed; a 16-page carbon of the beginning of the original screenplay for the film version of the book, signed; an "audience reaction" card from the 1971 sneak preview screening of the film <I>A Boy and His Dog</B></I>; signed; the original 26-page typed manuscript of the prequel to the tale, titled <I>Eggsucker</B></I>, with Ellison's holographic edits, signed; a 138-page photocopy of the made-for-television version of the film containing extensive rewrite corrections and edits by the author, signed; and a photocopy of the NBC Broadcast Standards, complete with comments on the TV film. The archive is accompanied by a detailed three-page listing of all the included items, signed by Ellison as president of the Kilimanjaro Corporation.
