Businessman who helped run the family business, Gimbel Department Store, and established the Gimbel Award. AQS, signed “Ellis A. Gimbel,” on an off-white lightly-lined 6.75 x 10.5 page, dated April 2, 1934. Gimbel signs a quotation at the bottom of a fan letter. In full: “A good name is better than riches.” In fine condition, with scattered creasing, and intersecting mailing folds, one passing through his last name.
