Uncommon book: Reminiscences of an Athlete: Twenty Years on Track and Field by Ellery H. Clark. First edition. Boston, MA: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1911. Hardcover, 5 x 7.5, 196 pages. In fine condition, with toning to spine, some spotting to upper textblock, and an ownership signature and bookplate inner front cover and flyleaf. An American track and field athlete and a writer, Clark (1874-1949) was the first modern Olympic champion in high jump and long jump, and the only person to have won both Olympic events; he did so at the Athens 1896 Summer Olympics. He was inducted into the USATF Hall of Fame in 1991.
