Vintage circa 1952 glossy 9 x 7 photo of Taylor signing autographs for Italian soldiers as a crowd begins to form, signed later in fountain pen, “Best wishes, Elizabeth Taylor.” Double-matted to an overall size of 14.5 x 12.5. In fine condition. This Italian image predates the frenzy caused by Taylor’s affair in Italy with Richard Burton less than a decade later, during the making of ‘Cleopatra,’ where the word ‘paparazzi’ was literally created because of the Italian press’s fervent pursuit of the pair.
