Signed book: National Velvet. First edition. NY: William Morrow and Company, 1935. Hardcover with dustjacket, 6 x 8.5, 303 pages. Signed in blue ballpoint on the first free end page, “Elizabeth Taylor Warner.” In very good condition, with uniform toning to signed page, as well as both pastedowns, owner’s bookplate affixed to front pastedown, and clipped dustjacket. Dustjacket shows scattered wear and creases, light toning and soiling, and scattered edge wear and paper loss. Wonderful association between Taylor and the story that made her a star.
