Elizabeth Cady Stanton Autograph Letter Signed, four pages on Boston Athletic association letterhead, 4.5” x 7”, with New York address, March 5, 1894, to Mr. Homer Norris, n.p. The letter reads in part, “We are very busy in New York this year getting our Constitution amended, as to secure to women the right of suffrage…I enclose the plan of campaign & ask your help as you have the opportunity in the greatest step in progress the world has yet seen: the emancipation of women…I had the honor of calling the first Convention…in 1848, & I penned the first resolution demanding suffrage for women. This fact I suppose makes my autographs valuable to the rising generation…” Very fine condition. Elizabeth Stanton (1815-1902) apparently recognized her own historic stature as a feminist. Ex. Henry E. Luhrs Collection.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
