Cover and letter written on Elite Saloon Co. letterhead to Fairchild, who was a prominent druggist in Placerville. Written Aug. 25th in Reno, Nevada. Letter discusses stock Fairchild was considering buying in a mining company: "the boys have the large engine on the shaft and are working night and day. We shipped the first car of ore about three weeks ago and we have not received the returns yet." Unsure of where this claim was located. Signed by T.O. Ward, No. 4 Com. Row in Reno. Folds, otherwise fine. Weak Reno cancel.
