1885, New York. Stock certificate for one thousand shares. Black. Issued to and signed on verso and attached stub by ELISHA GRAY. (1835-1901). American electrical engineer best known for his development of a telephone prototype in 1876. Punch and stamp cancellations do not affect Gray’s signature. Slight fold at upper right corner. Else Fine.
