<td width="100%">
This Depression era animal figural powder jar has a striking Art Deco design featuring an elephant in a standing position with his trunk down. Whitmyer shows it on pg 11 of - Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years and states that it was designed by Charles Oestreich, for whom a patent was granted in January of 1931. We believe it was produced by the Greensburg Glass Co of Greensburg, PA and beautifully executed with fine defination to the elephant's features. This piece was made in a lovely pink satin or frosted Depression glass. Measuring about 5 1/2" tall x 6 1/2" across the base. Both the jar and it's lid are in excellent condition.
