Italian actress (1858–1924) often known simply as Duse. Vintage sepia 6.5 x 8.75 cabinet photo signed and inscribed on the mount in Italian. Missing lower right and left corners of the mount, a separated upper left corner of the mount interrupting part of the sentiment and reattached by old tape on the back, scattered soiling, and silvering to the dark background of the photo, otherwise very good condition. A very scarce signature, scarcer still in signed photos.
