Thirty-four intact cartes de visite. <BR><BR>Gracefully blind-stamped and gilt covers with the spine lettered and decorated in gilt. The fore-edge features two adorned metal clasps. All edges gilt. The endpapers display a delicately curving pattern of red, gilt, and cream. Some rubbing to the covers, the spine is broken and is missing several pieces, the boards are slightly bowed, both hinges are cracked, some speckling to the edges, the gilt on the edges of the illustrated endpapers has faded to green, minor soling and rubbing to the leaves, a few small tears to the plates, twenty-five cartes de visite are missing, some of the cartes de visite are significantly cut leaving only a small bust portrait. Altogether a good copy. <BR><BR>The cartes de visite included in this album range from those of women and children to those of military men. Some of the figures include Lieutenant Jno. W.
