Elegant Captivating Fine Handmade Part Silk Persian-Pak Kashan Rug. 100% Natural, vegetable dye, hand woven, pure silk and baby lambs wool pile on cotton foundation. In the light of the fact that Rugs are product of a desert-like environment, it is a given that primary colors are used in the majority of the Rugs produced as a means of absorbing the harsh sunlight in order to be soothing on the eyes. Therefore it is rather rare and unusual to come across Rugs with such predominant soft tones. This is an exceptionally intricate and exquisite piece with its beautiful Shah-Abbasi floral pattern. The silk highlights in particular are so well pronounced that give this piece a three dimensional character. This lovely piece is masterfully woven, knot by knot, and has about 140 knots per square inch. It would take over two years to weave this beauty. Size: 8 feet X 5 feet 9 inches.
